FEATURED PET OF THE MONTH

Meet JANE (on the left)!!!!Meet gorgeous Jane, an owner surrender. Poor Jane's family is having another baby and they do not want her around the kids because she exhibits classic herding traits, such as rambunctiousness and rough and tumble play. We do recommend that because she is very active and can knock a toddler down, she be placed with a family with kids 10 yo and older. Poor Jane's canine companion died earlier this year as well, and she does miss having a doggy friend with her. Jane is about 4 yo, about 45 lbs, and active. Originally, she was a stray that a family took in. She does not have much exposure to cats, and is great with dogs off leash, pulls towards them on leash to try and meet them. She does like to chew on things that are not hers, so this would need some work. In addition, Jane has a dominant personality, per her breed. She will need daily exercise and we would like to have her placed in a home with another dog. Jane is utd on shots, spayed, and house broken. She does however, have some expertise in escaping from the yard, so a savvy owner and supervision while in a yard is a must! Please note that catahoulas are very challenging but amazing dogs; please read up on their characteristics prior to applying. Jane is a fascinating, smart, and energetic dog. Please help her find a place to call her new home!!!

LOCAL FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!!!!!
We have many dogs to save, but need local volunteers - most of our dogs come from SC, GA and OH and we need a place for them to stay after their transports while we are processing applications and completing home checks on potential homes. This is more of a short term foster situation (a couple weeks), different from our other foster homes. Of course, we always need long-term fosters as well :) If you think fostering mit be a good fit for you, please click on the Applications tab to fill out a foster application. Fostering is a great way to help out dogs in need without long-term committment; we cater to YOUR availability.
