Adoption Process: Explanation of Adoption Fee A minimum adoption donation of $350 is required to help pay for your dog’s care while in our rescue. This is due when the Trial Adoption Period Agreement is signed and is refundable if the adoption does not work out during the Trial Period. Our adoption fee helps to cover a portion of our vetting expenses and general care. General vetting expenses include, but are not limited to: Age appropriate shots, deworming, spay/neuter, Heartworm test and treatment if needed (which is estimated to be $500-700), microchip implant and registration and any other illness or aliments that need to be treated to restore the good health of the dog (Mange, ear infections, etc.). Other related costs include but are not limited to transportation, boarding, food (all dogs are fed a premium holistic dog food while in foster care), toys, leashes, collars, tags,etc.
